Sometimes the wrong choice can be just right . . .
Fun and fearless, Cora Lewis knows how to keep her tattooed "bad boy" friends at the Marked in line. But beneath all that flash and sass is a broken heart. Cora won't let herself get burned again. She's waiting to fall in love with the perfect man--a baggage-free, drama-free guy ready for commitment. Then she meets Rome Archer.
Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He's stubborn, rigid, and bossy. And he's returned from his final tour of duty more than a little broken. Rome's used to filling many roles: big brother, doting son, super soldier--but none of those fit anymore. Now he's just a man trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping the dark demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad to suffer through it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and becomes a blinding flash of color in a sea of gray.Perfect may not be in the cards, but perfectly imperfect could just last forever . . .

Series: Marked Men Novels
This book was my favorite so far out of the series so far that have come out. Rome was so different from the others that he caught my attention from when he was in rules book. Rome is Rules older brother, he just got out of the army after serving over seas for most of his adult life. This story starts on the fourth of July, Rome has just come home from Afghanistan and he's been drinking allot since hes been home no one understands why, and why hes being a douche to everyone, But Rome is dealing with his own demons from being to war so many times and seeing his men die and hurting himself in combat. Cora is dealing with a ex that is getting married at the end of the summer, she is down. One night Cora picks up Rome from the bar because he had a extremely bad day so he drank his problem to help him cope. Cora bring him back to her place because Nash isn't there to help her bring him in so it was easier to bring him to her house so he can sober up and she can make sure that he is OK. There love story starts the next day! I fell in love with these two the most because the story line was so deep. I feel like the Author Jay Crownover, did a great job getting this story on paper, she definitely makes it so you, yourself fall in love with Rome.
