OK where do i start with this book, the beginning was very slow for me there were times when i want to put down the book because it just wasn't holding my attention like i wanted. i am so glad that i didn't, the ending was fantastic. i really like look as a character and we really start to understand that he was once a shadowhunter like Jace and them. I'm a little disappointed that Jace and Clary are brother sisters of valentine, like what! But i have heard good review about this series and happy hopes for those two. I wish that Cassandra Clare would have made Clary, more bad ass and start her training. For awhile there she made her seem totally helpless, but than she would come out with some total bad ass moves. I love how all the character tie into each other some how and i love how the vampire, shadowhunter's, werewolf's, forsaken, demon. They actually fit with the story line. Cassandra Clare did well with explaining the characters in detail, even though sometimes i thought there was too much detail.
I saw the movie before i read the book and i wish that i didn't, the whole time i just kept comparing the two. They are totally different. Some of the scenes that were in the movie weren't how they played out in the book. i wasn't surprised though, books are always better than the movie.
i would recommend this book to anyone that like this kinda of genre and even if you don't, give it a try you wont be disappointed
